Now That's What I'm Talking About
So a couple of weeks ago I got this phone call from a guy named Tim Conrad. He's a veteran and currently works at the VA Hospital in Madison.
Every year he and a bunch of buddies hold a golf outing to raise money for vets. They have been doing it for 15 years. Each year they decide which veteran cause gets the money. In the past they have used the cash they raise to buy recorders for PTSD patients, Wii games for geriatic veterans, and to send vets on Honor Flights to Washington, D.C.
Tim told me that after hearing us talk about Fisher House Wisconsin on Wisconsin's Afternoon News he wanted to give me a check for Fisher House.
I told him I thought that was great. We chose a time and today Tim showed up here. He handed me a check made out to the Fisher House for $1500. $1500!
I will get the money to the Fisher House. Fisher House Wisconsin will soon break ground on a beautiful building on the grounds of the VA Hospital here in Milwaukee. Fisher House provides housing for vets and their families for free while they are here in Milwaukee receiving medical care at our VA Hospital.
Thank you Tim. Please thank your buddies!
