Amtrak: The Way to Go
Have you ever take the Amtrak Hiawatha from Milwaukee to Chicago?
If you haven’t, you should. It’s quick. It’s easy. It’s affordable. And if you do hop on the train you won’t be alone. There was record ridership last year with the daily round trips serving more than 830,000 passengers. Monthly ridership records were also set in January, February, march, April, June, August, September, and October.
According to Amtrak, the Hiawatha service is the busiest Amtrak corridor in the Midwest and the sixth busiest in the country.
I’m not usually an advocate for leaving our fine city for Chicago. But if you are heading for Chi-town, the Hiawatha is a real hassle free way to go.
My daughter has taken the train to and from school at Syracuse as well. She likes it. It's along trip, but clean and comfortable. It's got me thinking. It would be cool to take that Amtrak trip to the West Coast... maybe the northern route up to Seattle. I think I'll check it out.
