The gifts have been purchased (although they have not yet been wrapped), the cookies have been baked, and yes, the snow is even here.
I am ready for Christmas.
I wouldn't be ready if it weren't for all of the wonderful people in my life.
My wife and girls give me strength. They are my angels, not only at Christmas time, but throughout the year. They're forgiving when I'm inflexible. They're soft when I'm too tough. They're the sunshine when I'm cloudy.
My colleagues here at WTMJ are the best. Erik Bilstad continues to amaze me with his work ethic and selflessness. The other guys on my team, producer Armen Saryan, Dan O'Donnell, Jeff Falconio and Andi Miller are the best. THE BEST!
Most of all, I want to thank you, our listeners. Without you there is no show, there is no blog, there is no ability to make a difference.
I am grateful and fortunate.
With that gratitude comes a little bit of a heavy heart as a I continue to think about what happened in that Connecticut elementary school one week ago. I just can't shake the images from my mind. In quiet moments as I pray for all the things I am thankful for, I also pray for all those that have lost so much.
Merry Christmas everybody.
