"Under the Influence" - Terence Rittenhouse
Meet Terence Rittenhouse. Hopefully you'll never meet him on the road.
Yesterday Rittenhouse was arrested for OWI-7th.
The Janesville native was arrested by a Rock County deputy at 4am. The deputy was on routine patrol on a country road when he spotted Rittenhouse coming at him, swerving and speeding. As a matter of fact, the deputy had to get onto the shoulder to avoid a collision.
Once Rittenhouse was stopped the deputy noticed that Rittenhouse's car was smashed up and he was bleeding heavily from the head. Deputies say it was obvious that Rittenhouse had been in some kind of crash. No evidence of that previous encounter was ever found.
Rittenhouse has been booked on OWI 7th charges.
Rittenhouse and others put all of us and our families in danger each time he decides to get behind the wheel after he's been drinking, which seems to happen way too frequently.
It's why we need to change the laws in Wisconsin. We are the only state in Wisconsin where first time drunk driving is not a crime. It's like a speeding ticket in Wisconsin.
We are working with our elected officials and law enforcement authorities to change that.
