No More Cookies for You

  • Print

Frontier Airlines has already stripped Milwaukee of most of it's old Midwest Airlines service. Frontier has cut routes, laid off employees and pretty much turned it's back on Milwaukee. Now comes the final straw, Frontier will soon eliminate the chocolate chip cookies that were a Midwest Airlines trademark.

The cookies have a special place in my families heart. During the Good Friday snowstorm a few years ago the snow moved in and the airport was almost completely shut down.  It was packed with people trying to get out and start their spring break. My family was among them.  Our Midwest Airlines flight was delayed numerous times. As people got more and more frustrated the Midwest staff did something very cool. They wandered through the concourse passing out cookies. They handed baskets to my two young daughters who helped pass out the cookies.  It was nice.

Now the cookies will be replaced by animal crackers. They say it fits better with their whole animal theme thing. And by the way, the animal cookies will cost you $1 a package.
