Teddy Bear Patrol

  • Print

The Newsradio 620 WTMJ Teddy Bear Patrol is under way.  It's the 20th annual event. Since it's beginning in 1993 we have collected and distributed more than 98,000 bears to local law enforcement and fire officials.

The bears are collected and then distributed to police and fire officials who then distribute them to kids they encounter at things like car accidents and house fires.  Experts say that the comfort of a Teddy Bear can go a long way to helping calm and comfort a scared child.

Participation is quite simple. To help, all you need to do is purchase a new teddy bear or stuffed animal and bring it to one of the drop off locations, which include many area Waterstone Banks, All American Window & Door and here at our WTMJ studios.  Details about drop off locations can be found here on our website.

We want to thank this year's sponsors, All American Window & Door and Waterstone Bank.

Help make a difference for a kid in need.
