Is Rep Mark Pocan a Lawbreaker or Just Classless?
This banner is hanging on the outside window of Wisconsin Representative Mark Pocan. That banner is a violation of Wisconsin Administrative Code. Capitol Police know about the banner. The Department of Administration knows. Yet the banner still hangs there.
Here is the language from the Administrative ordinance.
Posting or affixing signs, announcements, or other documents on and
exterior or interior wall, ceiling, floor, door, window or other
surface of the public areas of any State facility not designed for
that purpose is prohibited. Stickers, labels, tape, or any other
adhesive material that might leave a residue or otherwise damage
interior or exterior surfaces, including porches, stairs, statuary,
monuments, light wells, fences and trees is also prohibited. Likewise,
tacks, nails, staples or other attachments shall not be used.
YET THE BANNER STILL HANGS THERE.
Pocan has not returned my phone calls. The Capitol Police have not returned my calls. The Department of Administration has not returned my calls.
Pocan tweeted that he wanted the banner up to greet everyone coming to the Capitol for the State of the State Address. Classy, Pocan. Classy!
