Remember and Respect on Memorial Day
Thank you to all our vets
Memorial Day is not about cook outs and beach volleyball.. It's not about opening the pool and drinking lots of beer. It's about remembering those that gave their lives so we can live ours. Now, don't get me wrong, I am all about pool time and beer. I'm just saying that on Memorial Day we should carve out some time to think about those that made the ultimate sacrifice.
It's easy to brag about freedom. It's easy to say we need to stand up for the rights of girls to go to school and pursue careers in foreign lands. It's easy to talk about the importance of Democracy. What's not easy is being willing to put your life on the line to defend these principals. I am overwhelmed when I think about all the men and women who actually leave their families, and their freedoms to go off and fight for ours. I appreciate them. I respect them. I pray for them. God Bless America and God Bless the troops that fight under our flag
