Call it one of the many perils of the internet.
Yesterday, 18-year-old Caitlin Davis was fired from her part-time job as a New England Patriots cheerleader. Her undoing? Facebook!
One of Davis' buddies passed out in her presence. I wasn't there but my guess is that alcohol was involved. As a joke, Davis and another woman pulled out their Sharpies and started drawing things on their friend's body. Those "things" included images of penises and a few swastikas.

Under normal circumstances, no one would have known about this except those who were present. That changed however when someone photographed the incident and Davis decided to post the photos on her Facebook profile. The pictures were then picked up by several internet sites and widely disseminated.
After the photos went public, the New England Patriots booted Davis from the cheerleading squad.
Later today, we'll discuss whether the football team overrreacted?
