Recent flooding in the Midwest is responsible for several deaths and billions of dollars in damage. While things are slowly drying out, a lot of people in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and elsewhere are still really hurting.
Newsradio 620 WTMJ has teamed up with the McCormick Foundation, WGN Radio in Chicago, KMOX-AM in St. Louis, WCCO-AM in Minneapolis and various other partners to establish the Neighbors in Need Campaign. This effort will provide assistance to thousands of flood victims in the region - including Wisconsin. The McCormick Foundation has agreed to match the first $1 million raised through the campaign at 50 cents on the dollar.
