  • NL All-Star roster predictions

Here's my guess at the NL All-Star roster. The 33 man roster will be announced Sunday afternoon.

  • My All-Star ballot

All-Star voting ends Thursday night and in keeping with a personal tradition, I like to wait as long as possible before filling out my ballot.

  • An all American day

It's June 14 and the trade rumors can officially begin. After a sweep in Kansas City the question for the Brewers is are they buyers, sellers or neither? Sure it makes sense to trade Zack Greinke by the July trading deadline but doing so would contradict the team's desire to be competitive.

  • Boom or swoon for the Brewers?

June is the make or break month for the Brewers. Despite the injuries, inconsistencies and constant lineup changes the Brewers are only 6 1/2 games out of first place. That's a deficit to be sure but certainly not insurmountable.

  • The road to Super Bowl XLVII goes through Washington

We've reached the dull part of the NFL offseason. Free agency and the draft are in the past, training camp is still more than two months away and there's only so much "news" that will come out of rookie mini camps and OTAs.

  • Packers get defensive

The NFL Draft is in the rear view mirror and already draft geeks around the world are looking ahead to 2013. But before we get into a Matt Barkley debate let's step back and look at what the Packers have accomplished this offseason.

  • 17 intriguing games on the NFL schedule

Week 1: Washington at New Orleans The Redskins mortgaged the future to grab a franchise quarterback in the draft so this will likely be the debut of Robert Griffin III. It will also be the first look at the shorthanded Saints after the bounty hunting program came to light.

  • Brewers Extra Innings this week

I'll be hosting Brewers Extra Innings all week and it starts tonight with a four game road series against the Cubs.

  • Kentucky championship=Yankees championship

Bad news if you're a New York Yankees hater. Kentucky's win in Monday's national championship pretty much guarantees that the Yankees are destined to win the World Series this year.

  • NFL Draft Update

The NFL handed out 32 compensatory picks on Monday and the Packers were awarded two fourth rounders and two seventh rounders.

  • NCAA Tournament: No lead is safe

We're one day into the NCAA Tournament and already madness is all around. Western Kentucky pulled off one of the all time great comebacks by erasing a 16 point deficit in the final five minutes. Comebacks are nothing new to the Hilltoppers who overcame second half double digit deficits twice in the Sun Belt tournament.

  • Bracketeering 2012: Time for bubbles to burst

Power conference tournaments have begun and in all six major conferences there are bubbles that will burst over the next three days. Already it looks like Seton Hall is in trouble while other bubble teams like Texas, Oregon and Mississippi State face can't-lose games today. Here's my stab at the field as of Thursday afternoon:

  • Bracketeering 2012: The Drexel Dilemma

    The VCU Rams are back.

  • Leaping into the brackets

Small and mid-major conference tournaments are underway and Selection Sunday is in a week and half. Below are the teams that I think are a lock (a lock being defined as a team that would be in the field even if they lose all remaining games) for the NCAA Tournament:

  • Tweeting the Madness

March is just a few days away and already the NCAA Tournament talk is heating up. Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook for bracket banter as well as thoughts on the NFL Draft, spring training and random Seinfeld references.

  • 2012 NFL Draft Notes

With the Super Bowl in the rear view mirror teams are beginning to stack up their draft boards in anticipation of next week's Scouting Combine. The first round draft order is set with the exception of two ties that will be broken with a coin flip at the Combine. After that we await the compensatory picks to be awarded and the entire draft order will be set. Here are a few other items if note:

  • Super Predictions

Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday and as always we've got predictions on the game and so much more. So without further ado:

  • College basketball's super Saturday

Welcome to the biggest day of the college basketball regular season. It's actually the biggest and busiest. The reason? No one wants to play during the Super Bowl so just about everybody schedules a game for the day before.

  • Is there an easy fix for the Pro Bowl?

All day long people were asking me if I saw the Pro Bowl on Sunday. The answer for me is always no. I spent a good chunk of Sunday evening watching "Scrubs" and college basketball. For those who saw it the reaction was something like "I gotta say, it was pretty lousy."
