Patriot Day: Friday Bracketeering
We saw a few bubbles bursts yesterday while other teams locked up at-large bids. All the major conferences are in action today so again there will be plenty of movement as now seeding of teams will come into focus. Among the key bubble matchups are San Diego State-New Mexico and UNLV-BYU in the MWC semis, Ole Miss-Tennessee and Florida-Mississippi State in the SEC quarterfinals, Tulsa-UTEP in the Conference USA semis, Rhode-Island-St. Louis and Dayton-Xavier in the Atlantic 10 quarters and Washington-Stanford in the Pac 10 semis.
One automatic bid goes out today as Lehigh and Lafayette do battle in the Patriot League final. If you want to see physical, pure basketball played by true student-athletes watch this game. It's old school basketball with a focus on passing and defense and always worth watching.
