Week 16 NFC playoff picture
In Need of Help
Detroit Lions (7-7) With the Monday night loss to Baltimore the Lions no longer control their own destiny. They need a loss from Chicago and Green Bay to get back in the driver's seat.
Arizona Cardinals (9-5) Despite holding a record that would be good enough for first place in the NFC East and North the Cardinals are in third in the NFC West and need a San Francisco loss to stay in the wild card race.
Controlling Their Destiny
Dallas Cowboys (7-7) Even with the second half meltdown last week the Cowboys are in good shape. If they win out they take the NFC East.
Green Bay Packers (7-6-1) The Packers go another week without Aaron Rodgers but if they can squeeze another win from Matt Flynn the Packers will head into Week 17 with a chance to win the NFC North.
Carolina Panthers (10-4) A win today will not only put the Panthers in the playoffs but they will control the NFC South going into next week. Carolina can still clinch a wild card birth with an Arizona loss and a San Francisco loss.
San Francisco 49ers (10-4) The 49ers clinch a playoff birth with a win or an Arizona loss. To have a shot at the NFC West, however, the 49ers need an Arizona win.
Chicago Bears (8-6) Chicago clinches the NFC North with a win, a Detroit loss and a Green Bay loss.
Philadelphia Eagles (8-6) Philadelphia wins the NFC East with a win and a Dallas loss. With the Eagles hosting the Bears tonight two division races hang in the balance.
New Orleans Saints (10-4) The Saints win the NFC South and land a first round bye with a win. At the very least New Orleans clinches a playoff birth with an Arizona loss.
Seattle Seahawks (12-2) The Seahawks have already clinched a playoff birth. They can wrap up the NFC West and homefield advantage with a win over Arizona.
