In Need of a Festivus Miracle

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-8) The Steelers almost pulled off a miracle on the final play against Miami last week but the loss puts Pittsburgh way back in the wild card race.  The whole season comes down to a Sunday night showdown against Cincinnati this week but even with a win the Steelers will need a lot of help.

Tennessee Titans (5-8) Tennessee is all but dead having lost four of their last five.  However, the Titans have an easy stretch to end the season assuming they can get past Arizona at home this week.  But 8-8 may not be enough.

In Need of Help

New York Jets (6-7) The Jets are alive and kicking thanks to a 37-27 win over Oakland.  The season may come down to the Week 17 matchup at Miami but first New York must beat Carolina on the road.

San Diego Chargers (7-7) San Diego wins the first of three straight divisional games, making the race for the sixth spot that much more interesting.

Miami Dolphins (7-6) The Dolphins kept pace with Baltimore last week but due to the head-to-head loss to the Ravens Miami needs a little help to get to the playoffs.  Miami also keeps their faint division title hopes alive with a win over New England this week.

Controlling Their Destiny

Baltimore Ravens (7-6) After a wild fourth quarter the Ravens stay in the sixth spot in the playoff race.  The road gets very rocky from here on out with Detroit, New England and Cincinnati on the schedule.

Kansas City Chiefs (10-3) Kansas City emphatically snapped their three game losing streak last week.  Now the Chiefs can nail down a playoff spot with a win or a loss to either Baltimore or Miami.

Divisional Leaders

Indianapolis Colts (8-5) The Colts have clinched the AFC South but with last week's loss to Cincinnati the Colts appear to be headed to Wild Card weekend.

Cincinnati Bengals (9-4) Cincy is sitting pretty and can clinch the AFC North with a win and a Baltimore loss.  At the very least the Bengals can wrap up a playoff spot with a win and a Miami loss.

New England Patriots (10-3) New England clinches the AFC East with a win over Miami.  Even if the Pats lose a Baltimore loss would put New England in the playoffs.

Denver Broncos (11-2) Denver has clinched a playoff birth but after Thursday's loss they must wait until next week to clinch the division.
