Packers-Browns: Three keys

  • Print

Lot of Lacy With James Starks out and Michael Hill placed on waivers the Packers have just two running backs available: Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin.  Thus far, Franklin hasn't earned additional playing time so look for a healthy dose of Lacy today.

Jordy vs Joe With reports that James Jones will miss Week 7, Jordy Nelson will likely be matched up with cover corner Joe Haden.  And this is the matchup to watch because Haden is one of the best shutdown corners in the NFL.  So not only will it be a challenge getting the ball to Nelson but Jarrett Boykin and Myles White will be needed to make plays.

Up front Despite giving up 24 sacks the Browns offensive line is a pretty decent unit.  The high sack total has more to do with the indecisiveness of quarterback Brandon Weeden.  Even though the Packers are extremely thin at outside linebacker generating some pressure on Weeden shouldn't be an issue.

Prediction Packers 26, Browns 17
