Packers-Ravens: Three keys

  • Print

Baltimore's left tackle After trading with Jacksonville Eugene Monroe replaces Bryant McKinnie at left tackle for Baltimore.  So there's two things going on here: Monroe is an upgrade over McKinnie and the Ravens don't have to worry about Clay Matthews.  So the question becomes can Nick Perry generate any pressure to Baltimore's left side?

Takeaways Joe Flacco has thrown eight interceptions this year though five of those picks came in just one game.  The Packers have emphasized turning the ball over but they only have five takeaways through four games.  Can the Packers, even without Matthews, force Flacco into making mistakes?

In the trenches Once again, Green Bay's two young tackles will be tested in pass protection.  Even though the Ravens lost a pair of longtime defensive leaders from last year they still have a number of playmakers.  We see that in the 19 sacks the Ravens have generated, including seven from Terrell Suggs.  As always, Aaron Rodgers needs time to throw.

Prediction Packers 30, Ravens 27
