Packers preseason schedule released
The NFL released the preseason schedule today and here are the four opponents the Packers will face:
Week 1- vs. Arizona
Week 2-at St. Louis
Week 3-vs. Seattle (Friday, August 23 on CBS)
Week 4-at Kansas City
The NFL only releases the dates for nationally televised games so dates and times for all games will not be finalized until later. It's no surprise the Packers will play Kansas City to end the preseason, the two teams have met in the preseason finale every year since 2010. You can pretty much bank on that game being held on Thursday, August 29. Teams don't want to schedule Friday night games for the preseason finale so as to not interfere with high school football.
The Seattle game is also noteworthy as not only is it a "rematch" of the infamous Fail Mary game but it will serve as a litmus test for the regular season. The third week of the preseason is usually the dress rehearsal game, meaning starters will play well into the second half. Of course, it's still just a preseason game but it'll be interesting to see how the Packers stack up against an NFC powerhouse.
