By the end of the day 13 automatic bids will be awarded and already two teams have punched their tickets: Albany and Memphis.
Here are the teams that are in either as a lock or via an automatic bid:
Automatic Bid
Albany, Belmont, Bucknell, Creighton, Davidson, Florida Gulf Coast, Gonzaga, Harvard, Iona, James Madison, Liberty, LIU-Brooklyn, Memphis, South Dakota State, Valparaiso, Western Kentucky
Locks
Arizona, Butler, California, Cincinnati, Colorado, Colorado State, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Marquette, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, NC State, New Mexico, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Pittsburgh, San Diego State, St. Louis, Syracuse, UCLA, UNLV, VCU, Villanova, Wichita State, Wisconsin
Now that's 39 teams but there's only 37 at-large bids. However, we need to account for eight automatic bids from the power six conferences along with the Atlantic 10 and Mountain West. That means there should be six open spots left for the bubble teams:
Alabama, Boise State, Iowa, Kentucky, LaSalle, Maryland, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, St. Mary's, Temple, Tennessee, UMass, Virginia
Maryland, Ole Miss and UMass can still help themselves with a win today. There's also a bid thief lurking in the SEC Tournament in Vanderbilt. We're a little more than 24 hours away from the brackets being revealed and for the 14 bubble teams left it's going to be a long day.
