Chaos reigns again in college football but this time both #1 and #2 go down. Suddenly the SEC is alive again and we're a Notre Dame loss away from a potential second consecutive all-SEC national championship game. Here's a look at my projected conference championship games, BCS and Big 10 bowls (asterisk denotes team has clinched a birth in title game):
Big 10 Championship: Wisconsin* vs Nebraska
SEC Championship: Georgia* vs Alabama
Pac 12 Championship: UCLA* vs Stanford
ACC Championship: Florida State* vs Miami
The four teams that have not clinched a title game birth yet all control their own destiny, which is bad news for Michigan, Texas A&M, LSU, Oregon and Georgia Tech. Kansas State clinches the Big XII with a win or an Oklahoma loss. The Big East is now firmly a two-way race between Louisville and Rutgers.
Rose Bowl: Stanford vs Nebraska
Fiesta Bowl: Kansas State vs Oregon
Sugar Bowl: LSU vs Oklahoma
Orange Bowl: Florida State vs Louisville
BCS Championship: Notre Dame vs Alabama
Capital One Bowl: Michigan vs Florida
Outback Bowl: Wisconsin vs Georgia
Gator Bowl: Northwestern vs Mississippi State
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl: Michigan State vs Texas Tech
Meineke Car Care Bowl: Minnesota vs Iowa State
Heart of Dallas Bowl: Purdue vs Ball State
As it stands, the Big 10 can have a maximum of seven bowl eligible teams. However, both Michigan State and Purdue need a win to be eligible.
