Saturday update-November 10
Wisconsin needed an impressive win and got one by running all over Indiana. In the process the Badgers earned a trip to the Big 10 championship game. More importantly, it sets up a big showdown with Ohio State next week.
Michigan's OT win over Northwestern keeps the Wolverines in the discussion to win the Legends Division. At this point it looks like a three way rub to the Roses between Michigan, Wisconsin and Penn State.
The ACC Coastal Division continues to lead the field in mediocrity. Virginia's win over Miami puts the entire division in play. Just to give you an idea of how bad that division is the Hurricanes and Georgia Tech have the best overall record at 5-5.
Louisville's stunning loss to Syracuse opens up the Big East while at he same time narrows the number of remaining unbeaten teams.
Most of the action is taking place now or later tonight and as I write this there is a big development in Tuscaloosa. Texas A&M is dominating Alabama 20-0 after one quarter. A Tide loss would create a seismic shift in the BCS race. Oregon and Kansas State would, for the time being, be the top two teams and the assumption would be that Alabama would head to the Sugar Bowl. We could then see Notre Dame and LSU in the Fiesta and Alabama and Oklahoma in New Orleans.
