Packers-Chiefs: Three Keys

  • Print

Last Chance Wide receiver and tight end have been two positions of strength this summer and the question is how many players will the Packers keep at each position?  My best guess is five tight ends and five receivers.  The obvious players to watch here are Tori Gurley and Chastin West.

Three Deep At Quarterback?  We know this much:  blink and you'll likely miss the starters.  So it'll be a healthy dose of Matt Flynn and Graham Harrell.  Harrell is the key here not just for this season but with Flynn likely gone in 2012, Harrell has to continue to prove he's worthy of being a backup.  Can he parlay last week's last minute heroics into another impressive week?

Plain Vanilla Yes, the preseason is boring.  The final preseason game is always the most boring as starters usually sit after one series.  But when you meet a regular season opponent during that final preseason game, well my friends, there's no way to spin it.  It will be a snoozer.  Player evaluation becomes critical.  Remember, those who are cut might latch on to another team's roster before the end of September.  It's audition time for anyone on the bubble.
