Packers-Colts: Three Keys

  • Print

Not Quite Ready For Primetime Week 3 is the dress rehearsal week so look for the starters to play through the first half.  Even though almost all of the starting spots are locked up there will be plenty of looks for the guys who may not start but will be expected to contribute.  It will be interesting to see how much playing time is doled out at tight end and safety.

No Peyton, No Problem? Take the best parts of Kerry Collins, Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky and you still won't be able to build a quarterback as good as Peyton Manning.  The recently signed Collins won't play tonight so Painter and Orlovsky will do their best to not embarrass themselves again.  Nevertheless, the Colts still have good skills players and they're deep at running back.  Indy provides a good test for a Packers run defense that looked weak against Arizona.

And On The Other Side Will Aaron Rodgers stay upright this week?  Indianapolis has featured a speedy front four for a long time and even without blitzing the Packers offensive line will face a challenge tonight.  TJ Lang is set at left guard so the lineup you see tonight will be the same one you see in two weeks against New Orleans.  It now becomes a question of cohesion.
