With the memories of a Super Bowl season still very much palpable the Packers now turn to defending the world championship title. It is not an easy task. Nobody knows this more than New England 's Bill Belichick.
The Patriots were the last team to repeat as champions but prior to the 2003-2004 back-to-back run there was the business of defending the title in 2002. After going through a magical season in 2001 Belichick and the Patriots found that there was no magic in '02, a year in which the Patriots went 9-7 and missed the playoffs.
On Super Bowl Sunday 2003 Belichick wrote an opinion piece in The New York Times to illustrate to Tampa Bay's Jon Gruden and Oakland' Bill Callahan just how hard the road to repeat is. The lessons are relevant today as Mike McCarthy prepares for the offseason.
