NFL to consider moving 2014 Super Bowl date if nasty weather threatens
In the wake of monster snowstorm, Nemo the NFL is in the process of developing a contingency plan in the event Nemo part 2 slams into the northeastern part of the country.
Could you picture a Saturday night Super Bowl - or perhaps delaying the biggest game in the world a day or two? These are the scenarios the NFL is considering if the you know what hits the fan.
The league brought this on themselves after they agreed to have a Super Bowl outdoors in a cold weather climate. To me, this is among the worst decisions the NFL has made in the last 50 years. The fact that a contingency plan is in the works tells me the NFL is aware that this may not work out so well, but think about the logistical nightmare that would be created if the game were played on any other day than Sunday.
