For many years I have lauded the Golden State Warriors as being innovators in the world of team uniform design. A subtle lightning bolt here, a Golden Gate Bridge there - the Warriors have been trend setters without trying too hard to be. Until now.
The Warriors will debut an alternate uniforms - complete with sleeves - at home against the San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 22. The team will also wear the jerseys against Houston on March 8 and Chicago on March 15.
Adidas, the official jersey manufacturer for the NBA, hopes the sleeved look catches on and other teams give it a shot. If I'm being candid, the jerseys remind me of the Australian woman's Olympic team. I love the logo, but think the sleeves are meant for other sports.
