I often say that my Olympic dream is still alive because of Curling, but could the knuckleball be the ticket to the start of a Major League Baseball career?
MLB Network will be debuting a new program on February 13 called "The Next Knuckler." The premise of the show is to have former Boston Red Sox knuckleballer, Tim Wakefield, teach a bunch of former college and NFL quarterbacks how to throw a knuckleball.
The one who performs best will get a spring training invitation from the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The quarterbacks who will compete are John David Booty, Josh Booty, Doug Flutie, David Greene and Ryan Perrilloux.
