It's one of the strangest moves conducted by a pitcher - one that always draws a spattering of "boo's" from the crowd. It's the 'ol third-to-first pick-off play that never works. I've done it before, in my high school days, but only because I saw it done on TV - not because I expected it to work.
According to The New York Times, that move will now be a balk.
