USA Today is reporting that beloved Green Bay Packers wide receiver, Donald Driver is leaning toward retiring from the NFL. Driver caught just 8 passes for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns last season - his 14th in the league.
In the second half of the season, Driver, who will turn 38 on February 2, was passed on the depth chart by undrafted free agents Jarrett Boykin and Jeremy Ross. As the season rolled on, it became very clear that Driver would have no role with the Packers as a player for the 2013-2014 season. Still, Driver maintained his goal was to play until the age of 40.
Driver is the Packers franchise leader in receptions with 743 and receiving yards at 10,137.
