Badgers RB Ball to forgo Senior Bowl

  • Print

College football's annual Senior Bowl will be played on January 26 in Mobile, AL. The Big Ten will have 9 players represented in the game, but Wisconsin Badgers running back Montee Ball will not be one of them.

Ball, the FBS career leader in touchdowns scored, initially accepted the invitation to play, but has since backed off. Instead of playing, Ball will focus his attention on the NFL scouting combine February 23-26 in Indianapolis.

Ball is expected to be among the first few running backs selected in the 2013 NFL draft.

The lone Wisconsin Badger on the Senior Ball roster is tackle Ricky Wagner (6'6"/318).
