It's Official: NFL will use replacement officials for week 1 of the regular season
As expected, the NFL will use replacement officials for week one of the regular season.
Ray Anderson, the NFL's executive vice president of football operations, made it official yesterday when he issued a memo to all 32 teams. The replacement officials will work "as much of the regular season as necessary" for the officials who have been locked out since June 3.
