Often times a team's alternate uniform looks like puke. Recently, Under Armour, Nike and adidas have entered the fray and developed eye popping uniforms that people either love or absolutely hate.
The WI Badgers football team and adidas have teamed up to develop an alternate uniform for the Badgers September 29th game against Nebraska. I must say - job well done!
The uniform combines a modern look and feel with the rich tradition that Wisconsin football boasts.
The helmet will be red and feature a black face mask and white “W”. The team will also wear adizero Smoke gloves showcasing the "W” logo.
The “block W” harkens back to the days of Wisconsin’s 1962 Big Ten championship team, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this fall. That team wore the “block W” on their helmets and went on to play USC in the 1963 Rose Bowl, one of the most famous bowl games of all time.
