I didn't know a home plate umpire had the authority to eject a sound guy from a baseball game. That's exactly what happened at a recent minor league game between the Daytona Cubs and Fort Meyers Miracles.
The sound guy is also known as Cubs intern, Derek Dye.

Personally, I'd have tried to hire the kid full-time immediately after the game.
