Good news, bad news for former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski. The good news is he received a 5-year contract extension from ESPN. If you like Jaworski's work, no need to worry, he will appear on "Sunday NFL Countdown," "Monday Night Countdown," "NFL Matchup" and other shows ESPN runs in a heavy dose of professional football coverage.
On a candid note, I hope "NFL Matchup" finds its way to a more sought-after time-slot. To me, it's the best football show on television for breaking down the x's and o's of a given team or game. Sad that its buried in the network lineup and difficult to find.
ESPN will not replace Jaworski in the broadcast booth - an indication they wish for Jon Gruden to spread his wings as the one and only analyst on the broadcast.
