UW's Taylor named pre-season All-American

  • Print
The pre-season honors continue to roll in for University of Wisconsin point guard Jordan Taylor. The senior from Bloomington, MN has been named a pre-season first team All-American by the Associated Press. Taylor was an Associated Press second team All-American last season after leading the Badgers to a 25-9 record and third place finish in the Big Ten.

Taylor averaged 18.1 points per game and 4.7 assists and is looking to improve his all-around game in this his final season as a Badger.

Interesting is the fact that Taylor was the only senior named to the first team. He was joined by four sophomores, including Ohio State's Jared Sullinger, Harrison Barnes of North Carolina, Terrence Jones of Kentucky and Jeremy Lamb of Connecticut.

Of the five, Sullinger was the only unanimous selection.

UW begins the regular season on November 12th against Kennesaw State, at the Kohl Center.
