You can't make this stuff up.
In the 30th round of the major league baseball draft, the Milwaukee Brewers drafted Trent Boras, a high school third basemen from Newport Coast, California.
Boras' father is Scott Boras, the hard-driving, mega-agent for Brewers first basemen Prince Fielder.
Scott Boras is known for negotiating tactics that lead to big contracts for his clients, but drive general managers nuts. Fielder is expected to explore free agency when his deal expires after this season.
I'm guessing the selection of his son will not soften the stance of the elder Boras, but it sure is worthy of a chuckle.
One round earlier, the Brewers selected right handed pitcher David Lucroy, the brother of current Brewers catcher, Jonathan Lucroy.
The longest draft in the history of the sports world continues Wednesday.
