Months after Jenn Sterger became the center of attention in a sexting scandal with former Jets QB Brett Favre, the former NY Jets sideline host has spoken out.
In an interview which aired on Good Morning America, Sterger opened up and admitted to never earning a penny as a result of the heightened level of national attention, saying,
"I just want people to know me - and to know that I'm not a gold-digger, and I'm not a home wrecker."
Sterger went on to say that her life has been "turned upside down" since the ordeal made headline news, and that it's been "tough, embarrassing, and humiliating."
Most amazing, however, was Sterger's claim that she has never even met Favre.
Sterger explained that her first inkling into Favre's interest in her came when a Jets employee approached her and asked for her phone number for Favre. Sterger denied ever giving her number to the man or to Favre.
Sterger did not appear comfortable with a question regarding a reported text from her to Favre which asked the QB to smile at her if indeed he was the man behind the text and voice mails. Sterger's response was,
"No, I don't really recall...sorry."
When the book comes out, I sure hope its not of the pop-up variety.
