I'm On A Short Leash Tonight...
If anyone needs me tonight, I'll be right here...
...because I'm having a colonoscopy Wednesday morning.
Not to go all Katie Couric on everyone, but let this serve as a gentle reminder to all who turn 50: you need to have this done. I know all of Wisconsin has bigger things (Packers) on it's collective mind (NFC Title Game) but it's something (Super Bowl) that needs to be addressed (Green and Gold).
Any number of people here at Radio City who've been through it have come up to reassure me that it's nothing...that the prep is worse than the procedure itself. My wife, who's a million times tougher than me and much better with personal discomfort, barely batted an eye when she had one done a year ago. And the rewards? No, you don't get paid, or receive a trophy. Hopefully, you get a clean bill of health. And, at the very least, you get a very early jump on any potential issues. It could, quite simply, save your life. I found this link useful if you want a more clinical explanation of the benefits (and, the procedure itself).
After all, isn't life worth living (Packers), what with everything that's going on around here (championship game at Lambeau) this winter (Brewers Spring Training)?
