All It Took Was A Little Pub...
Halftime once again will be about bands and trips to the bathroom at New York Jets home games.
So it would seem after this week's New York Times expose about some fans intermission antics, involving the yelling of obscenities in hopes of getting women to doff their tops. The paper says there were cases where those who wouldn't comply were pelted with beer bottles.
What amazed me most about the story was the fact that the paper got a collective shrug from Giants Stadium security officials when asked what they were going to do about it, with one guard supposedly threatening to take the reporter's tape recorder away.
Then came the white hot glare of the national media.
The piece got extensive play on a bunch of outlets (including Wisconsin's Morning News) and now, it would seem, cooler heads will prevail.
Now, if they could do something about those fat guys who feel compelled to go shirtless when it's ten above zero....
