Assume The Position
...no, not THAT position.
Fans of HBO's "Arliss" know Robert Wuhl. The rest of us should make it a point to do so.
I'm not nuts about "Arliss" but I love Wuhl's latest HBO project, "Assume The Position".
It admittedly flew under my radar, until I heard my kids cackling in front of the TV the other day--there they were, watching Wuhl doing his schtick in front of a what appeared to be a college classroom.
It's Wuhl serving as professor, teeing up his unique take on history--not as a character, but as a guy who did some reading and checking and connecting of dots, coming up with some really funny conclusions about our leaders, our country, and ourselves.
"Assume The Position" isn't for the faint of heart, and you may not like it if you have a "W" sticker on the back of your car--the language is occasionally salty, so make sure young kids and the easily offended are out of earshot. Then, sit back, relax, and have a good half-hour hoot.
Here's the HBO schedule for "Assume The Position"...class is now dismissed.
