His name is now an adjective: the man behind "The Zapruder Film"
As advertised in a previous blog, "The Ramblings" are entering a hyper JFK phase as the 50th anniversary of the President's assassination approaches, serving up interesting/compelling/new found nuggets not meant to sway or convince, just to enlighten as the momentous anniversary draws near.
Submitted today is a CBS "Sunday Morning" feature on the man who shot history's most dramatic and well-known home movie.
Abraham Zapruder was a huge Kennedy fan and an avid amateur filmmaker, having just purchased a new Bell and Howell camera before JFK came to Dallas. He couldn't wait to see the President, or to record his moment in Kennedy's proximity.
What he recorded was history.
