The Cold Filtered Ramblings of Gene Mueller

Rolling Stones Inc.: Jagger at 70 and the financial monolith he fronts

  • Print

Get your head around the fact Mick Jagger turned 70 on July 26th.  I'll give you a second.

Now get ready to have your mind blown by the fact that he and the Rolling Stones aren't just an iconic band, touring for six decades while remaining musically relevant: they shaped the industry that is rock and roll, fronting themselves as rebels/non-conformists while proving they're as Wall Street as any NASDAQ corporation.  The article isn't new (it's 11 years old) but the lesson is intact.

Satisfaction, indeed.
