Happy first-Monday-of-Daylight-Saving...hope you survive
Travelers know about jet-lag but all of us have to navigate the choppy waters that come after we spring forward.
Daylight Saving Time has its obvious benefits, although who needed an extra hour of daylight Sunday evening to savor what had to be one of the ass-ugliest days of 2013. That said, messing with one's body clock is never pleasant, and the Los Angeles Times says it could prove not just inconvenient or embarrassing. It might be fatal.
The Times says a 2008 Swedish study found there's a six to ten per cent increase in heart attacks in the first three workdays after the start of daylight saving time. An Australian study that same year concluded men were more likely to commit suicide in the first few weeks after the switch,
