15 seconds of fame? Try 1.5, maybe
You see her each week on "Mad Men", although an ill-timed blink might mean you miss her.
No matter. Former model Gita Hall wants her 15 seconds of fame and, presumably, a chunk of change to go with it.
The former Revlon model is suing the show's makers, claiming they're illegally using an image of her during "Mad Men's" classic opening credits--you see her in the background as the silhouette of a man plummets past big city skyscrapers.
...and this is Gita today.
Is it surprising that she's filing suit? Not in this litigious age. Fact is, you wonder what took her so long. There's an explanation for that, though.
Hall apparently doesn't have cable so she couldn't watch it as it rolled out season after season since its 2007 premiere. She only found out when it became available for home purchase.
Hope she doesn't come after me for showing her here.
