Best Packers time-waster EVER--each and every uniform Green Bay ever sported right here
The Green Bay Packers have an iconic look. Home or away, win or lose, they've sported pretty much the same uniform each and every game since Vince Lombardi arrived in 1959.
The afore-mentioned "G" would arrive in 1961. A stripe or two would come off the sleeves. The socks changed, and so did shoe colors. The overall concept, though, remains the same, even in this era where teams switch out colors and logos every couple of years to generate fresh sales. To them, the look is a cash cow. To the Packers, it's a legacy. One more thing that makes Green Bay so very, very easy to cheer for. Former GM Ron Wolf had a weak moment in 1993 when he pondered dramatic alterations but thought better of it and never pulled the trigger. Smart man.
Here's a link to 90+ years of Packers uniforms. Gaze to your heart's content. And say a silent thanks to Vince Lombardi for giving the team a look that withstands the test of time, or the temptation to make a switch just to make the cash register sing.
