The Cold Filtered Ramblings of Gene Mueller

How bad are things for the Cubs? They've now been stripped of a World Series title they never won

Apparently the bounds of even science fiction can be stretched only so far.

You no doubt have seen the promos for NBC's "Revolution": the show about life as we know it devoid of electricity and the chaos that ensues.

In one of the most jarring scenes, characters are seen walking past an abandoned, overgrown Wrigley Field.   NBC has been running this plug for months (along with one for Matthew Perry's new sitcom which I swear the network ran on a continuous loop).

But when the scene aired for real this week as the series began, the Chicago Tribune says a major detail had been expunged.: a reference on the famous red Wrigley sign about a 2012 Cubs World Series championship.

The New York Post dug deeper, finding out that it was the Cubs themselves who beefed.
