The Cold Filtered Ramblings of Gene Mueller

Remember when a bunch of you thought Bobby Valentine would be a good Brewers manager?

You know who you are.

As the Brewers were going through managers the way Kardashians go through husbands, there were whole bunches of you who thought the alpha and omega in the Milwaukee dugout would be Bobby Valentine.   As Ned Yost got abruptly sacked for Dale Sveum who then gave way to Ken Macha who eventually was replaced by Ron Roenicke, there was a vocal contingent consistently pushing for Bobby V to be named the new skipper.

Sure, he's telegenic and awfully good in the broadcast booth, but Valentine's tenure as a field manager is spotty, at best.   And, his latest run in Boston is doing little to burnish his record.
