The Cold Filtered Ramblings of Gene Mueller

More on Favre and Anderson

Tried to find out more about the five year old boy Brett and Deanna Favre visited Friday in Waukesha County, but didn't get a break until the end of Tuesday's show.

An emailer sent me a link to the child's Caring Bridge page where cancer patients chronicle their struggles and triumphs.    There, the boy's family details the time they got to spend with the Favre's, as first reported Monday night before the Vikings/Bears game by ESPN's Ed Werder.

We tried to get the family to talk some more, but they politely declined and instead directed us to this video, posted on YouTube.

I've been as hard on this guy as anybody, but there's no taking away from these moments and nothing more to be said, other than that we should all take time this Christmas season to remember the good in our lives including those who inspire via their struggles and those who console those in the midst of great turmoil.

      Merry Christmas.
