Don Draper: Say What?
This could ruin "Mad Men" for you...forever.
A new video is going viral (which means the whole world was in on this joke before you and I) featuring the show's lead character uttering his signature line in all manner of ways and circumstances. As an avid viewer, I'd never caught it's use week-to-week, but when it's held up in front of you for all the world to see, it makes you wonder, "How in the hell could I have missed that, and why didn't I think of turning it into a YouTube feature first?"
Probably because you have a life.
The Associated Press says, "More than 117,000 viewers have watched the clip on YouTube. Hamm's ad executive character has said "What?" at least 46 times with assorted inflections and variedly arched eyebrows. For Hamm's often cutting ad executive, "What?" is often his sharpest verbal sword. The video is reminiscent of an earlier online hit that assembled all of David Caruso's opening one-liners on "CSI: Miami." Nearly 5 million viewers have seen that video since it was posted in 2006."
I'll save you the Google search on that one...
