Via Hotair. Team Obama says it is "absolutely" willing to take the nation over the fiscal cliff unless it gets higher tax rates of the wealthy. Rates, not revenue, mind you. Obama is adamant that he's not interested in the GOP approach of raising revenue through limiting deductions and loopholes... a reactionary approach embraced by this guy.... in July 2011.

Despite a near-total repudiation of its complaint by the NLRB, the immigrant/unionista activist group Voces de la Frontera is desperately trying to somehow spin a shellacking into a victory. Aaron Rodriguez isn't having it. In this devastating piece, lays out the extent of Palermo's vindication in the final order handed down Friday (and somehow missed by the dead tree.)

From the beginning, Milwaukee County DA John Chisolm had adamantly denied that there is any political agenda behind the 2-year old "secret" John Doe probe into former aides to Scott Walker's former county staffers. Even as his fellow Democrats turned the Doe into the centerpiece of their recall campaign against walker, Chisolm insisted that the probe itself was non-political.

A rather startling admission from the folks at the student newspaper at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Apparently, as their print-version of the newspaper was dying a long, slow, lingering death... they never noticed. Um, sound familiar? Anyone?

A bad day for the "fiscal cliff" negotiations. Essentially, the Obama "compromise" calls for $1.6 trillion in new taxes, a massive new stimulus spending plan, and an end of debt ceiling in exchange for bupkus. There are some nebulous suggestions of spending cuts in the future, but no guarantees.
