Deadlines are for chumps, apparently. Yesterday, as the president unveiled his stunningly dishonest and demagogic push for a higher debt ceiling, we also learned that he has no intention of meeting the legally required deadline for submitting a budget.

Well, it';s not exactly a "paper" trail, but Ed Fallone's blog posts paint a rather compelling picture -- and one at sharp odds with attempts to paint the MU Law prof and Supreme Court candidate as a non-partisan independent. (Despite the fact that he signed the Walker recall petition last year.)

Three stories on one of our favorite themes. Each one, in its own way, illustrates the ongoing pattern of government regulations spawning unforeseen consequences. As Friedrich Hayek might have observed: these guys really don't know as much as they think they do, do they?
